ロマンティック・コメディ・ミュージカル映画『マンマ・ミーア!』などで知られる人気女優のアマンダ・サイフリッド（34）が、密かに第二子を出産していたことがわかった。
アマンダと夫のトーマス・サドスキー（44）は先日、ウォーチャイルドとINARAに向けた声明文の中で、第二子である息子の写真とともにこのニュースを発表した。ウォー・チャイルドは、戦争被害を受けた地域の子どもたちを支援するイギリスの団体で、INARAは、紛争地域の子どもたちに医療ケアを提供している。
「3年前に娘が誕生して以来、紛争や戦争で残酷な影響を受けている罪のない子供たちへの献身が、私たちの生活の原動力となっています」と声明で述べた二人。この投稿で二人は息子の名前を明かさなかったものの、小さな顔が少し写っているのがわかる。

アマンダといえば、2016年にHBOドラマシリーズ「ニュースルーム」で知られる俳優のトーマス・サドスキーと交際をスタート。約6ヶ月後に婚約し、翌年に結婚。2017年3月には第一子となる女児を出産していた。
アマンダは昨年来日した際に、「自然の多い場所にいると感謝の気持ちで満たされますし、重要なことだと思います。きちんと家で時間をすごすことも、非常に大切」と発言し、自然の中で過ごすことの重要性など、農場での生活について語っていた。
そのため、パパラッチに追われることはなく、インスタグラムを頻繁に更新してはいたものの、妊娠中だとわかるような写真はなかったため、ファンも驚きの報道となった。
